Why Alpha Phi?

Picture
"When I came to Kettering, I didn't have any intention of joining Greek life. But then I came across a group of girls full of joy and laughter. I saw their success and it inspired me. I saw their compassion and knew I would have support. I saw this group of girls that I wanted to be a part of, not for the matching shirts and mixers, but for the family, the sisterhood. I joined Alpha Phi because it was a home away from home, a source of inspiration, and a future full of opportunity. I will always be... happy to be an Alpha Phi❤ " - Tara Tepin

"I chose Alpha Phi because I love being apart of a big family and having a support system who i know is always there for me. I love Alpha Phi girls because I felt the love immediately, making connections with the girls before I even thought about joining. I love the different types if personalities and interests each one of the girls have. How every one is their own person, and yet we come together and share a special bond. I love that our different personalities challenge on another, encouraging each of us to grow into more diverse women. " - Alexis Brissette

" I was drawn to Alpha Phi due to the closeness of the sisters and all the great things that they accomplish. I loved how they made me feel welcomed right from the start. Sisters are always supportive of each other and always have each others backs no matter what. All the girls are true leader’s and will go very far in life. " - Jodi Seymour

"My first year at Kettering was the first time in 13 years I would not play softball. Through most of my life I had a team of girls to lean on, and I was scared to start college without it. Alpha Phi gave me more than just a team, it gave me sisters. I never thought I would join a sorority but as soon as I saw the great chemistry between the girls of APhi, I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of. We laugh together, study together, volunteer together and always have each other's backs. " - Clare Minsker

"I chose Alpha Phi because it felt like home. It felt like I could go to anyone and everyone about anything that I needed. If I ever need advice, or even to borrow anything, I know exactly who I can go to for help. Everyone is here to support one another, and when you go to a school with difficult classes and no girls, support is the most important thing."  - Cayla McMullen

"I chose Alpha Phi because the girls were so welcoming. At the time I made my decision, I thought these girls would be nice friends to have, but they have become so much more than that in just a short period of time. If I ever need a study break, a laugh, words of encouragement, or a shoulder to cry on, I know I can call each and every one of these girls and they will be there for me in a heartbeat. These girls are my sisters -- my family. They are strong young women who all have bright futures ahead of them. They are leaders, they are role models, and they are Alpha Phi." - Emily Poirier

"It is hard to put into words. Alpha Phi is a support system when you need it, a comedy show when you want it to be, and a debate stage when you least expect it. I chose Alpha Phi because from the moment I walked into recruitment, I knew that these were the people I wanted in my life. I never could have dreamed that these women would mean this much to me. Everyday I am reminded of how much I am loved, and how I made the right decision joining this organization." - Ellen Hoffman
