Letter From the President

Welcome to Alpha Phi!
I am excited to welcome you to learn more about the Iota Epsilon chapter of Alpha Phi at Kettering University. Here, you will find information about our ideals and the sisterhood that binds us together.
As you first enter college, you may believe that Greek life is not for you. However, the Greek life here at Kettering University is much different than what you see on TV or movies! The truth is, sororities are an excellent way to develop leadership skills, give back to the community, build relationships with new people, and contribute to several different philanthropic organizations. These opportunities will set you above and beyond the rest of your peers after graduation by preparing you professionally, socially, and academically in addition to your earned degree. You will walk away with not only your degree, but a whole sisterhood behind you, supporting you wherever you decide to go.
The four main ideals of our sisters in Alpha Phi are character, innovation, generosity, and sisterhood. The character of each sister grows throughout their time here by different programming and leadership opportunities. Our sisters are innovative in and out of Alpha Phi by holding multiple leadership positions in other organizations on campus. The generosity of our sisters continues to grow with every year they are in Alpha Phi and at Kettering University. From coming up with different ideas to give back to the community to holding extra philanthropy events to support charities, our sisters are always looking for ways to provide for the community. Our sisterhood in Alpha Phi is a bond that lasts for a lifetime. I have seen myself and fellow sisters develop excellent leadership and communication skills, grow confidence in themselves and what they are capable of, and learn the importance of being a good role model to the people around them.
As the Chapter President, I have the honor of representing this amazing group of women. Alpha Phi has challenged me to become the best version of myself that I can be, and I have seen the other sisters face this challenge themselves. Each sister is unique and brings new and exciting ideas to our chapter. Being a female in a male dominated industry is difficult, but these women have always had my back through it all, and they will have yours too! Alpha Phi has always provided me with support and encouragement, and I will always be thankful for the time I get to spend here with my sisters! I am proud to speak on behalf of an outstanding organization that is run by such impressive women.
I am happy you have found your way to our home here in Alpha Phi! We are so excited for you to learn more about our chapter and to get to know you! Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!
Love and aoe,
Taylor Godlewski
