Iota Epsilon - Chapter History
Our chapter was created in 2000, derived from A- section Phi Delta Kappa chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, which began on campus in 1978. Their decision to go international helped maintain the history they had created on campus, and we honor them by keeping the tradition of sisterhood alive on campus.
Alpha Phi International History
Alpha Phi began in 1872, created by 10 women who desired an organization which allowed them to connect with the women around them, and have a support system in a world that worked against them. These woman at Syracuse University did what had never done before, created an Fraternity for women of higher education. Today, Alpha Phi continues to provide a "tie which unites, a circle of friends" for women young and old all around the world. From hand to hand and heart to heart, we are all grateful and proud of the legacy left to us by our founders.
